Cardiac DNA Insight
The Cardiac DNA Insight test identifies changes in a person’s genes and can determine whether a person has a predisposition to certain diseases or health conditions. Genetic testing can also help identify the type of medication or even the dose of medication that is best for an individual.
This test can identify risk factors that would make it more likely for you to develop various heart conditions including atrial fibrillation or other diseases that usually develop later on in life such as coronary artery disease.
The Cardiac DNA Insight test analyzes your unique genetic markers that influence:
- Your cholesterol
- Risk for developing hypertension
- Risk of heart attacks
It also examines eight classes of medication that affect the cardiac vascular system including STATINS, beta-blockers, ACE inhibitors and hormone therapies.
